As the Easter holidays looms closer, so will my Psychiatry attachment in Craigavon Hospital come to an end. In fact, my time in Craigavon for 4th year has already come and gone. So long Bluestone Unit... Bluestone Unit is the mental hospital in Craigavon, newly built last year - and has in fact this psychedelic place has won awards for its design. Some patients don't really like it, but then again, how can we judge.
With the long case out of the way, all that is left is the wretched Psych exam, which I'm stressed, because I'm not stressed. Contradictory? That is what 6 weeks in psychiatry has done to me... :( But I must say, the experience was good, not the lectures or the assignments, but the exposure and clinicals.
So what has happened after a couple of weeks?
A rodeo appeared in front of the Students' Union!!!The QUB campus has been turned into a playground!!!
What has happened???
It was Rag Week for QUB. Looking at the standards of ragging here, I think IMU needs a little more funding in their ragging department, well, maybe a few years ago, since the orientation is no more...
What other fun things? We performed at the Holi Festival.
We did the Dikir Barat. So unlike me to do a traditional dance, but it was really fun!
The Holi Festival is a celebration of colours in India! So that explains, in case you are wondering why I look like some homeless person...
The Dikiers + supporters! Now to stimulate your salivary glands!
Beef noodles!
Yummy Dim Sum!
Roast meats!
Mango pudding! And now, it is pitch black... Because it is Earth Hour! I know Earth Hour has already passed in most parts of the world, but we are now currently doing our bit here in Belfast UK! :)
And tomorrow, Daylight Savings starts again... Losing one hour in the weekend before the exams is not exactly the best thing happening now...
